COVID-19 Concerns

COVID-19 is here and now we need to focus on slowing down the spread. We’ve gotten a number of calls asking if we’ve altered our hours or shut down altogether, and the answer is no. We will be open until and unless Maine decides to shut down commerce. But we are closely following the recommendations of public health officials and are taking steps to minimize the risk to our patients. We will be encouraging online and phone orders and curbside pickup and have been working hard to hash out the details. We also ask that our patients follow the advice of healthcare professionals; standing 6 feet from other individuals, using hand sanitizer and washing your hands often, avoid touching your mouth, nose and eyes, and staying home if you are experiencing any symptoms. Patients, particularly those at increased risk, can also call before coming in to check if we are busy. Many of our patients fall into the high risk category and it is our mission to protect their health.

Last week the Massachusetts Cannabis Commission shut down their offices and issued warnings to store owners and production companies to make sure they are taking extra precautions in the face of this pandemic. Maine’s Office of Marijuana Policy hasn’t taken any action at the time of writing this, but we here at New England Reserve are paying close attention to state and federal warnings as well as the policies being implemented in other states’s cannabis industries. We will do our best to keep you informed regarding any changes in policy, but please feel free to call us with any questions or concerns at 207.817.0518.

Stay safe out there!
